Taking out all the decorations for the fall season this year, I felt the need to do something different for our fireplace. That’s how I came up with the idea of a decorative box for Fall.
I have many decorations that I want to change, but I do not want to get rid of them, so I thought it would be nice to use them again and put them inside a decorative box. I know you can buy one but it will cost around $20 – $30 so this time I made the box myself and it was very beautiful and cost me nothing! Let me show you how.
The materials are easy to get. Find an Old Sweater and a cardboard box. I get a box every time I buy diapers for my son Diego.
I prefer to buy them at Costco, because I save money. Right now they have an incredible offer with Huggies Plus and Pull-Ups Plus. Until October 22nd,, at Costco, all Diapers and Huggies Little Movers Plus Diapers are $ 8.50 less and $ 7.50 less for . So take advantage of these instants savings to take home the diapers you need.
This season you have to take advantage of this sale to buy the diapers you need at a good price and to make nice decorations for your home.
Let me show you how this is done :
Materials
1 Huggies Little Movers Plus Diaper Box (size 6)
1 old sweater
Scissors
Glue gun
Glue sticks
3-inch ribbon
It’s very easy to make this decorative box. It works with any size of Huggies Little Snugglers Plus Diapers and Little Movers Plus Diapers, as long as you have a sweater big enough to cover the box completely.
The first thing to do is cut the box covers on all four sides.
Then slip the box into the sweater so that it covers the entire thing. Make sure you cover the lower part first because the remaining fabric from the top will be cut.
Glue the edges of the sweater to the bottom of the box. Same with the corners. Glue them well because that is the base of your box.
Same with the corners. Glue them well because that is the base of your box.
Once tightened, stretch the fabric so that there are no wrinkles around the box. Cut off excess fabric and sleeves. Leave enough fabric to stick inside the box.
Again, glue the fabric edges inside the box. Then to cover the edge use the thick ribbon all around the box
Once armed and lined with fabric, you have a box large enough to decorate any corner of the house. My little Diego helped me fill it up with some sunflowers and small pumpkins to give a special touch to my fireplace.
The beginning of this season is the best time to get creative and take advantage of these Costco instant savings thruogh October 22. All Huggies Little Snugglers Plus and Little Movers Plus Diapers are $ 8.50 less and $ 7.50 less for Pull-Ups Plus Training Pants.
Run to Costco this month and let me see how creative you are and what you can do with the diaper box. Mine was a perfect complement to my fireplace.
